Lucas Leiva has revealed how daily nuggets of wisdom from Kenny Dalglish have helped to enhance the performances of the Liverpool players.
The Reds have hit a rich-vein of form since the Anfield icon took the helm, producing a series of impressive displays that have moved them up to sixth in the Barclays Premier League table.
The Brazilian believes it is down to the Scot's knowledge of the 'Liverpool way' and suggests that his words have had a significant impact upon how the squad are approaching matches.
"We know how good he was as a player and we can see he has a lot of knowledge about football and also Steve Clarke is helping the team a lot," said Lucas.
"It is the little advice Kenny gives to us, he knows a lot about football and the way we have to play and the way Liverpool played in previous seasons so we want to do what he asks us.
"Every day there is little advice and you have to listen and take it on the pitch.
"When you believe in a manager it is really important and when he gives you advice you have to listen. He says things to make us think about things."
