Pepe Reina panic following radio interview with Fernando Torres

Pepe Reina has opened the door to a potential transfer to Manchester United by refusing to rule out a possible summer move to Old Trafford.
The Liverpool goalkeeper was interviewed by Spanish radio station Onda Cero yesterday alongside former Reds team-mate Fernando Torres.
As we're in Spain we can confirm that the quotes are genuine having listened to the full interview. However he does not declare that he wants to leave Liverpool but equally he doesn't declare that he will stay.
Pepe said: "Van der Sar will hang up his gloves in the summer so of course they are looking. I can't do anything. I can't say anything logically as I have a contract with Liverpool.
"Of course one likes to fight for titles and be in a team that does that. We always fought to be in the Champions League and try to win the title. But unfortunately it hasn't been the case in the last couple of years.
"I won't lie, I want to play in the Champions League and challenge for titles."
4 days ago, the KopTalk editor warned that the Pepe Reina speculation was going to kick in and then continue throughout the summer. (Click here to see what he said).
And yesterday we published an exclusive article on our members website relating to an approach for Pepe in January that Liverpool rebuffed. Check it out if you're a member.
Our advice would be to remain calm. However, please don't be naive. A lot of you thought that Fernando Torres was different having spoke of his love for the city, the club and the fans. Nobody would ever have imagined that Torres would have jumped ship for Chelsea. Footballers, agents, football clubs - very few can be trusted. Only the fans show unconditional loyalty and have the bottle to speak the truth.
Will Pepe leave Liverpool? We don't know but neither does Kenny Dalglish at this time. The fact is it's on his mind and if it angers you that we're prepared to state the obvious, you're going to have to toughen up for the summer ahead.
We would remind you of what our great manager said when Torres left Liverpool: Nobody is bigger than Liverpool Football Club.
Should Pepe jump ship then we would welcome that purely because we only want people onboard that are determined to take this fine club forward. He would be replaced, simple as, so what's the drama? Yes he's a fantastic 'keeper and we want to retain him but we're not going to throw ourselves under trains or off bridges if he does a Torres.
However, people shouldn't attack the 'keeper at this time because he has only stated how he feels. The problem is though he didn't add the vital statement of 'I will be at Liverpool next season fighting for honours'. It's as simple as that. He has left himself open for fans to question him and the media to continue stirring it up and no matter how much of a defence you put forward, players know what they're doing when they open their mouths.
The one additional sentence that was missing means we will have to endure this nonsense for some time.
We're bracing ourselves for his exit. If he was to switch to the enemy then he'd be strung up. Keep an eye on Arsenal.
